SIAS Class Advisers — User Manual

This tool lets Program Chairs manage class section advisers in SIAS: assign or unassign instructors to class sections, and print the official list of class advisers.

Requirements

• A SIAS Administrator account with Program Chair access level.

How to Use

1. Sign in with your SIAS administrator username and password.
2. Select the academic period from the dropdown in the info strip. The list of section advisers for that period loads automatically.
3. Assign an adviser: pick a class section, search the instructor by name or faculty code, click a result to select them, then press Assign.
4. Unassign an adviser: click the Unassign button on the adviser's row and confirm.

Printing the Adviser List

1. Sections are grouped by program (e.g. BSIT, BSCS). Use the toggle switch on each program header to include or exclude the whole program from the printout.
2. Use the checkbox on each row to include or exclude individual sections. Check All / Uncheck All buttons are available.
3. Your selections are saved in your browser, so they are preserved the next time you visit the tool.
4. Click Print Selected to open the print dialog. The document is formatted for Folio (8.5" × 13") paper in portrait orientation — make sure your printer paper size matches.

Troubleshooting

• "This tool requires Program Chair access" — your account's access level does not allow managing section advisers.
• Access token expired — sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity; sign in again.
